Map of Rome
4. The political and ecclesiastical division of the ancient city, catacombs and hypogea, early parishes, and principal monuments, including pagan religious buildings situated in close proximity to the quarters in which the Jews and early Christians lived. The location of more than forty major Christian and six Jewish catacombs is now known; the tombs of various sects lay close to one another. Of the six documented Jewish catacombs, only three have survived to the present day: one under the Vigna Randanini and two under the Villa Torlonia.
